TERMS OF USE

Use TraceFi to learn responsibly.

These plain-language terms set the boundaries for accounts, educational content, Labs, Runner access, and Community participation.

Last updated: July 21, 2026

Educational purpose

TraceFi is an independent educational project. Its content and tools are for learning, research, and authorized testing. They are not legal, financial, investment, audit, or professional security advice, and they do not guarantee that any system is secure.

Your account

  • Provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
  • Use only your own account and do not attempt to obtain another user’s session, data, role, or progress.
  • Notify TraceFi through a configured contact route if you believe your account or the service has been compromised.

Authorized use only

Do not use TraceFi materials, Labs, or techniques to access, test, disrupt, or attack any system unless you own it or have clear permission. You are responsible for understanding and following the rules, scope, and law that apply to your work.

Labs and Runner

Use the Runner only for the Lab and inputs it exposes. Do not evade execution limits, probe internal services, interfere with other users, upload malicious workloads, or attempt to extract protected verifier material. Availability and completion depend on server-authoritative checks where applicable.

Protected learning material

Do not publish, request, trade, or provide full Lab solutions, reference solutions, hidden verifiers, hidden tests, or instructions for bypassing completion controls. TraceFi may remove this material and restrict accounts involved.

Community conduct

Participate in good faith. Do not harass others, impersonate people, spam, publish secrets or personal data, misrepresent evidence, or post material you are not permitted to share. Community moderation may hide or remove content, restrict posting, adjust roles, suspend, or terminate accounts.

Content and permitted use

TraceFi’s original site content, design, and protected Lab material remain owned by their respective rights holders. Unless a specific license says otherwise, you may use public learning material for your personal education, quote reasonable portions with attribution, and link to it. You may not present TraceFi content as your own, resell protected material, or remove applicable notices.

Accuracy, availability, and changes

Security learning changes quickly. Content may be incomplete, contain mistakes, or become outdated. TraceFi may correct, replace, restrict, or remove content and features, and it does not promise uninterrupted availability.

Account action

TraceFi may moderate, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, content integrity, security controls, or the service, or when these terms are violated. Serious abuse may be acted on without advance notice.

Reasonable limitation

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you use TraceFi at your own risk. TraceFi is not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized use of security techniques, reliance on incomplete educational content, third-party systems, or service interruptions. Nothing here excludes a responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
